Oh Celebrations! Your sweetness and light, Make the diyas shine so bright. The laughter and breeze, Make us forget our sorrows with ease. We dance to the beats of Dandiya raas. The celebration is fun when done in mass. Its a break of studies and homework. When its Diwali we give a jerk. Family and friends come together, To have cherishing memories forever, And ever!

Lighted lamps and fireworks,, Laughter lights the sky, Which is speckled with fireflies, Friends and family time. Long last relatives, Good food and feasts, Stuffing and stealing sweets. Bright faces and traditional clothes, Fireworks explode. Sad smiles and good byes, The night is filled with fireflies, Patiently in class we wait, For a new festival to come and , Change our doomed fate

The sounds of bursting fireworks, Throughout the starry night, The sights that we experience, Are such a lovely sight. The people we have fun with, The gifts that were exchanged, Our noisy but fun filled laughter, With loads of playdates arranged. From the clothes we wear, To the way the happiness spreads, At the end of the day, We’re back in our bed.
