National Youth Day
A Youth Yatra, Chinmaya Yuvakendra activities and a singing presentation, in the spirit of Gurudev and Swami Vivekananda.
National Youth Day was celebrated at CIRS on 12 January 2026. Students took part in the Youth Yatra, Chinmaya Yuvakendra activities and a singing presentation.
The day drew on the teachings of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda and Swami Vivekananda, and on what they ask of young people: a life of purpose, discipline and dedication.
What it set out to do
The school's aims were for students to understand these teachings and their relevance today, to find in them patriotism, self-confidence and a sense of purpose, and to practise discipline and teamwork through youth-led activities. The report records that the day inspired students to carry these values into daily life and strengthened their leadership, confidence and communication.
