On 4th September, CIRS celebrated Janmashtami with immense joy and devotion. The day began with Krishna Puja, with some students observing a fast while awaiting the birth of Lord Krishna. The highlight was the midnight Aarti, when His birth was welcomed with Pooja, vibrant bhajans and delicious Prasad. The celebrations concluded enthusiastically with Handi Phod, re-enacting Krishna’s childhood playfulness of stealing butter from earthen pots in Vrindavan. The occasion fostered togetherness, devotion, joy and the sweet spirit of Krishna.
