The First Time Speakers’ Forum

Not every child who has something to say is ready to step forward and speak. The English Department makes a conscious effort to spot such hesitant speakers and give them a space to find their voice. The First Time Speakers’ Forum is one such initiative. This year, the department held the forum on 20 August 2026, where selected students recited poems, narrated stories, and shared experiences for the first time. Watching their initial hesitation give way to smiles, confidence, and the courage to speak was truly heartening.
