The Festival of Lights was celebrated at CIRS on 20 October 2025. The day began with a Krishna Pooja in the morning, setting a peaceful and spiritual tone for the celebrations that followed.

A carnival organised by the Spiritual Department added to the excitement of the day. The highlight was the Lakshmi Pooja, followed by the bursting of crackers, marking prosperity, hope and new beginnings, and the illuminated campus reflected the spirit of the festival.

The celebrations continued the next day with Bhai Dooj, when sisters organised a special programme for their brothers.

What the festival taught

The school's aim was for students to understand the cultural and spiritual significance of Diwali and Bhai Dooj, and to experience devotion, gratitude and togetherness by taking an active part in the poojas and the celebrations. The report records that the festival fostered harmony and joyful participation, and deepened students' appreciation of Indian culture.
