A message from the Director
In the 75th year of Chinmaya Mission, Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy writes to the children and parents of CIRS.
Hari Om! Namaste!
As we celebrate the 75th year of Chinmaya Mission, we look back with deep gratitude at a remarkable journey inspired by the vision of Pujya Swami Chinmayananda. Among Gurudev’s many dreams was the vision of a residential school where education would go beyond the classroom—where children would learn, grow, discover themselves and imbibe the values of our rich cultural heritage while living in an atmosphere of discipline, affection and fellowship. Chinmaya International Residential School is a beautiful manifestation of that dream.
Today, CIRS stands among the leading schools in the country and has now been recognised as No. 1 in India in the Premier League among the top Co-Ed Boarding Schools. This is a moment of great pride for the entire Chinmaya family. More importantly, it is a reminder of how far Gurudev’s vision has travelled—from a dream in his heart to an institution that continues to inspire young lives and set high standards in education.
Dear Children, you are the inheritors of Gurudev’s vision. Your achievements, your character and the way you contribute to society will be the true measure of the legacy that Gurudev wanted to establish. We are grateful to our dear parents for entrusting their children to an institution that seeks to nurture not merely capable minds, but strong character and meaningful lives.
May the vision and blessings of Pujya Gurudev continue to guide CIRS, and may every student who passes through its portals carry the light of Chinmaya wherever life takes them.
Hari Om!
