Day |
| This
is called Anand Utsav and takes place in October at CIRS.
It's a time for celebration, worship and resolve for all
members of the CIRS family. Variety shows, pujas and other
forms of celebration take place during Anand Utsav, and
it's an event which is eagerly looked forward to by all.

| Annual
Sports Meet |
| The
students at CIRS are divided into 4 Houses - Vasistha,
Vyasa, Valmiki and Vishwamitra. The 4 Houses compete in
a sports meet each year. This is called Khel Mela and
the atmosphere at CIRS during this event is energetic
and wonderful! Khel Mela normally takes place in February
at CIRS. Parents are invited to join in with parents vs.
students Cricket matches and parents vs. teachers Volleyball
matches. Other enjoyable activities include spoon races
and sack races, amongst others.

| Alumni
Meetings |
| Apart
from being in touch with each other, ex-students of CIRS
also like to re-visit their school. So Alumni Meetings
are held at the school. During these events, ex-students
get a chance to reunite with their old teachers and fellow
students and also to meet the new students. Click

| All
festivals are organized by paying attention to detail
and are celebrated with love. The presence of Chinmaya
Mission Acharyas makes each event even more special. The
children love to get involved and many participate in
dance, music and drama performances or help with decorating
the school. |

| On
certain special occasions the children wear traditional
clothes and CIRS comes alive with beauty, colour and fun!
Makar Sankranti is celebrated with kite-flying, Janamashtami
with pot-breaking, Ganesh Chathurthi with the Visarjan
of the idol, Navratri with Dandiya-raas, and Diwali with
Rangoli, a fun fair and fire crackers! Apart from just
merry-making, the spiritual significance of each festival
is explained with great clarity. |
